BSFI

Building Schools for the Future Investments LLP (BSFI) is a limited liability partnership whose members are the Department for Education (DfE) and Partnerships UK. BSFI invests in Local Education Partnerships (LEPs) under the Government's Building Schools for the Future programme.

Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is the Government's capital investment programme to help transform education by rebuilding or renewing every secondary school in England.

Central to the delivery of the BSF programme is the creation of Local Education Partnerships which will be 80% owned by the private sector provider, 10% by the relevant local authority, and 10% by BSFI.

Partnerships for Schools (PfS) is the delivery agency for BSF and is operated and funded under a joint venture between the Department for Education and Partnerships UK. BSFI works closely with PfS, although it is a separate entity and operates under its own governance regime.
